Here is a delicious appetizer for your Superbowl Party that uses another game day favorite in the base-beer! This Bacon Beer Cheese Dip will go quick off your party table. Use your favorite ale, lager, or light beer to create a flavor you will love and your guests will be begging for more of!
Serve with soft or hard pretzels, tortilla chips, crusty bread cut into squares, veggies, or pita chips. Perfect for a fondue pot or over sterno. This dip reheats well over low heat IF you happen to have any leftovers for the next day. Experiment with different beers and cheeses until you find your favorite combination. But don’t just limit this yummy dip to football parties, it is a great addition to any family party, shower, or get together.
Bacon Beer Cheese Dip
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Cheddar blend cheese
- 1 8oz. block of cream cheese
- ½ cup crumbled bacon
- 1 tsp. dry ground mustard
- ¾ cup beer
Directions:
In a medium sauce pan over medium heat warm up the beer, stir in cream cheese and stir until melted, add in bacon pieces, dry mustard, and shredded cheddar.
Stir frequently until melted and smooth.
Best served warm.
