We love to travel especially that now my kids are home for summer. Staying as healthy as I can while traveling is a must for me but can be a bit tricky.
The last thing I want is to come back home feeling blah from a good vacation because I slacked on my healthy routine. I have found 5 smart essentials while traveling that are an absolute must for me. I can not leave home without them.
My Smart Essentials While Traveling
- A good reusable water bottle
Staying hydrated is a must while traveling. While you are out and about walking more your body needs the extra water especially in the heat of the summer. I always take a reusable water bottle with me and keep lemon water in it.
- My own pillow
No matter if we are staying with family or at a hotel nothing is like your own pillow from home. Having a good nights rest is crucial when traveling since you are out of your routine.
My husband always laughs at me but a momma needs a good night sleep!

Y’all know I like to workout every day and even though I am on vacation this routine does not stop for me. Even if it is just 30 minutes a day I try to jog. I do not hit the gym but I keep my cardio going while I am traveling.
