Keeping your home clean can be a huge undertaking. Especially if you are in the thick of messy toddlers or just lack of sleep if you have just had a baby!
I hear ya mommas!
That’s why I have 10 cleaning hacks that will totally change your view of trying to keep your home clean and save you from the stress.
Give a few of these cleaning hacks a try and see how easier the dreaded cleaning chores become.
I know when my kids were little it was all about survival mode. Who had time to clean? But my OCD on cleaning took over and I built a cleaning routine around naptime.
It saved my anxiety from the feeling of having a messy home. In this time I looked for a ton of shortcuts since I really only had an hour or so each day.
Again, nap time was the only real time I had to make cleaning happen. I worked as hard as I could to get it done in less than an hour, which was also my cardio for the day back then. Momma’s are all about multi-tasking, aren’t we?
So, are you looking for a faster and more efficient way to clean your home? If so, you will want to take a look at these 10 quick and easy cleaning hacks.
When you give these 10 quick and easy cleaning hacks a try, you can enjoy a cleaner space with less effort.
Does it all sound too good to be true? Here is how you can get started!
1. Use your socks to dust.
Take mismatched socks and wear them on your hands for dusting.
They are thick, absorbent, and a great way to get surfaces clean. Plus, this method puts those old socks to use.
2. Use lemons for all sorts of dirty jobs.
Rubbing a lemon on your grill grates can help clean it. You can also use a lemon on faucets to get them clean and remove stains.
I liked to use a little bit of the lemon water first in my water. I felt like I was not wasting the whole lemon this way.
Plus lemon water has so many amazing benefits!
Use the rest of the lemon for cleaning.
3. Dryer sheets are great for baseboards.
Save the used dryer sheets from your wash being complete.
Wipe dryer sheets over your baseboards to remove dust and dirt. Plus, they will gently coat the surface and help repel future dust from settling on them.
Bonus – My little kids LOVED helping with this chore!
4. Put aluminum foil to work for you.
Ball up aluminum foil and use it to scrub glass dishes clean. You can also use a ball of aluminum foil to scrub grill grates or other dirty metal surfaces.
5. Use shoe polish for quick fixes.
One of my favorite cleaning hacks is shoe polish. When you have kids your furniture seems to wear out faster.
You can use shoe polish to fix scratches in leather furniture or wood furniture pieces.

6. Olive oil is amazing.
Rub a little olive oil on furniture pieces to bring out the shine. You can even dab it on plant leaves to make them shiny and dust free.
This is a great natural cleaning hack!
7. Show a lint roller some love.
Lint rollers are perfect for removing dust from lampshades. I used to vacuum my lamp shades but it was not an option when my kids were napping.
I still give them a good vacuum every other month or so but you would be surprised how much a lint roller can catch!
8. Clean with baking soda.
Another natural cleaning hack is baking soda! Coffee pots, silverware, and even countertops can be cleaned using a paste of baking soda and water.
I find when I use baking soda to clean everything sparkles and I spent almost no time to do it.

9. Clean with coffee filters.
Since you should not use chemicals on computer or TV screens, coffee filters make a great cleaning hack. Use coffee filters to dust delicate surfaces such as televisions and computer screens.
10. Squeegee away hair.
If you have a pet you know the struggle of their hair everywhere! Garfield loves the couch and my office chair. Both are microfiber and holds onto his hair pretty well.
I use a window squeegee to pick up pet hair from upholstery.
It works better than the vacuum in my opinion!
