Cleaning Supplies Needed:

1 – Grab A Garbage Bag – Tackle The Trash
What’s the fastest way to clean a trashed house?
First thing’s first. Pick up all the trash.
This can be done in under 10 minutes.
Grab a garbage bag and move room by room.
Pick up any trash laying around, water bottles left out and empty all the garbage cans in your home.
Do not focus on anything else but the garbage.
2 – Collect All Laundry – Start A Load Of Laundry
Next grab a laundry basket and do another “run through” of each room.
Pick up any dirty laundry that is left out.
Check especially in your kid’s rooms – mine tend to throw socks everywhere sometimes. Especially under their bed for some reason.
If you have hampers throughout your home start moving them to your laundry room.
Now that you have all your dirty laundry in one place, start a quick load of laundry.
Remember to come back and switch it over to the dryer when you hear it stop.
3 – Collect The Dishes – Empty The Sink
The next run through of your home will be all the dirty dishes laying around.
Collect all the cups and plates throughout your home and bring them to your sink.
Go room by room checking everywhere.
Next load your dishwasher or hand wash every dirty dish you have collected.
If you need to start the dishwasher now is the time to do it.
Give that sink a quick wipe when you are done.

4 – Put Back Items and Clutter
Next you will focus on all of the clutter and items that do not belong.
Pick up all the clutter on your kitchen counters, on the living room floor, anything that does not belong here put back where you found it.
If your children can help pick up their own rooms and toys, let them.
5 – Wipe Down Surfaces
Cleaning motivation should have kicked in by now that you are seeing progress.
Now wipe down all your surfaces you just cleared off.
I find a small Swiffer duster does the quick to get the job done easily and quickly.
Kids love helping with this chore too!
Reminder: Switch over your laundry
6 – Bathrooms
Next you are going to tackle the bathrooms.
Wipe out the sinks, clean the showers and tubs, wipe the mirror and swish the toilets.
Complete each bathroom one by one from start to finish then move on to your next bathroom.
7 – Kitchen
Since your dishes are out of the sink and your surfaces are cleared all you have to do in here is clean.
Grab your favorite spray I like the Method grapefruit and wipe down the countertops, your stove and inside the microwave.
Next take a damp rag to the door handles on your fridge and give that a quick wipe down.
While you are there take a peek inside and see if you need to loss any expired food or wipe any spills. Just a quick once over.
8 – Vacuum or Sweep and Mop
You are in the home stretch to a clean home.
Last time, go room by room either sweeping or vacuuming all of the floors in your home.
Next grab your mop.
Give the bathrooms, kitchen and any other area that needs to me mopped a quick clean.
Reminder: Check your laundry
