We made it through our first week of school woo hoo! The kids did really well and I am so proud of all of them.
CJ found he had other friends in his class so that made it a little easier on him not having his best friend in his class this year. He has also made some new friends already. He is really coming out of his shell.
Bri, as always independent and made some new friends on her first day. She had no one from her class last year so she was a little nervous but being the social butterfly that she is had no problems.
JJ on the other hand completely is not having the whole PreK thing. He is so used to being home with me alone last year he is missing his mommy. The first few days were rough, he cried when I left him but his teacher said he is fine once I leave and is making friends. He does get very excited when I pick him up and tells me about his”job” he had for the day.
It is a little strange having a few hours to myself every morning. The house is so quiet! My 3 hours alone go so fast though but I am able to get so much more done without anyone home. On Monday I went to Publix alone for the first time in who knows when. Back to my early morning shopping feels so good to not have to go to a crowded store and not having a 4 year old grabbing whatever he wanted I was able to get a full weeks worth of food way under budget. Hopefully I can keep up the momentum this school year and drop it back down a little.
Here are my shopping totals:
Spent – $91.34
Saved – $41.30
