We made it through the summer! I am sort of sad to see them go but these past few weeks have been tiring so I am also ready for the break. We had our last week of fun events, each child got to choose what they wanted so we spent one day at Chuck E Cheese, a local bounce house place and we saw the Minions movie – again.
Today we head out to meet Bri and CJ’s teachers and bring in all of our school supplies. JJ will be bringing his in on his first day Monday. We did not find out until yesterday pretty late who the kids had this year and well there was a major disappointment with CJ. If you guys followed his school journey he has struggled being so shy. Last year he finally came out of his shell in kindergarten. He made very good friends with a little girl that was in the same class 2 years in a row and this year they are not.
She was his safety blanket. Their teacher last year said they were buddies and really did not do anything without the other. Needless to say he is not happy about being apart from her. I have faith in him but he needs to find that courage in himself and I hope he can do that this year in 1st grade without her. I know its going to be a tough few first days for him.
He has already requested a special note in his lunchbox from me. I made these last year and the kids loved them. Feel free to download and use them too!
Since I really focused on fun and today being a busy and now semi hard day for CJ I really did not get much shopping done. I ran to Target to pick up a few must haves to get us through the week and Monday while they are in school I can go to the store all – by – myself!! No,no I’m not looking forward to that at all 😉
Here are my shopping totals:
Spent – $43.01
Saved – $20.65
Feel free to link up and comment on your shopping totals too! Please when linking keep it to a shopping trip post all links to your homepage will be deleted.
