I can not believe the summer is ending in just a few weeks. I am going to miss these days hanging out and sleeping in bit. We have a few more fun things planned but we are now focusing on back to school shopping.
Is it me or do these lists get longer every year? I hit up Target and Staples to start it off and hopefully I can finish up my list with next weeks sales. We got a decent amount of things but I remember last year the sales at Target were a little better so I am crossing my fingers I can find everything next week and be done with all 3 kids lists. This is the time I stock up for the year too. I buy tons of extra especially crayons, markers and things like that to donate through out the year. That frugal girl in me refuses to pay $2.50 for a box of crayons!
As far as regular grocery shopping goes, I pretty much made a list and when we got there I did not stick to it. I had all three kids with me, 6 hands grabbing for everything. Especially Bri now that she is back to eating normal foods she wanted everything in her path. I was happy to give in for her but then they boys were not to happy that she got to pick out “her” items and they wanted some special treats too. Ugh I can never win haha.
I managed to keep it under budget though. Way under actually. One thing I will not miss is being able to go food shopping alone or with JJ since he will only be in half a day school.
Here are my shopping totals:
Spent – $72.01
Saved – $31.32
