Flip Flop Cookies

flip flop cookies

I love making cute little treats for the kids in the afternoons. These adorable flip flop cookies are a hit in my house for snack time and they are perfect for the summer.

Nothing fancy here moms so you can easily whip up a ton for a play-date or a summertime get together to have on hand. I like to display them on “sand” aka crushed graham crackers. They just look almost too cute to eat.

The kids could even help with these flip flop cookies so it could turn into a fun snack and craft. Great afternoon treat for the kids, especially since they get to eat their artwork.

Flip Flop Cookies

Ingredients:

  • Vienna Fingers Cookies

  • Different colors of frosting (Pillsbury works great)

  • graham cracker crumbs for display sand

Instructions:

  1. Place the color icing you want to use in a piping bag. If you don’t have a piping bag you can use a Ziploc bag and just cut the tip off.
  2. Carefully squeeze the icing onto the cookies to form the flip flop straps.
  3. Get creative. Use different colors for variety. Display on a platter with sand (Graham cracker crumbs work great for this).
  4. Serve at your next beach party, summer play date or even a cute cupcake topper.

Since there are really only 2 ingredients that are needed for these flip flop cookies, you may already have them on hand. I love making things like that in the kitchen with the kiddos on a rainy afternoon. I love seeing what they can do with just a simple piping bag of icing and cookies.
