Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day last weekend! We did our yearly pictures of the kiddos at JCPenney in the morning. It’s a tradition that we go for Mother’s Day every year since I became a mommy. It’s so nice to see the kids get all dressed up. Especially now that they have their own style of how they like to dress so I love to see what they pick out each year.
Then they surprised me with lunch. We normally go to the cemetery afterwards to meet my sister and her family but this year we moved it back a week. This Sunday will be our moms Mother’s Day get together instead. We enjoyed a nice lunch and even though the place was packed we got to spend some quality time talking with the kids. We hardly ever go out to lunch all 5 of us so it was really special.
What did you guys do for Mothers Day?
I spent the rest of the week trying to get a ton of cleaning and shopping done. CJ’s bday is next week so I had a few special party places to stop at for his cake and decorations. Boy that stuff adds up so fast! Maybe I shouldn’t have taken all three kids with me when we went, some extra goodie bag items magically ended up in my bag.
My normal groceries were much higher this week too. I didnt shop much last week so I had a ton to stock back up. Publix sales were not in my favor either. I needed a lot of staples that were not on sale this week but my pantry and freezer is not fully stocked. I was surprised my shopping totals were not completely over budget just a small amount.
Here are my weekly shopping totals for this week:
Spent – $142.85
Saved – 42.24 (horrible ratio)
Feel free to link up and comment on your shopping totals too! Please when linking keep it to a shopping trip post all links to your homepage will be deleted.
