Who else’s kids are ready for summer? I know mine are! They are getting harder and harder to wake up every morning. It’s a big struggle we are going through right now every – single – morning!
They are looking forward to the lazier days of summer, I don’t blame them, I am too!
It seems like the last month before summer is always busier in our house. Besides the normal wrapping up school events our weekends are packed. We have something planned for every weekend until June so I was glad to get a little relaxing in last weekend. My husband and I had a great date night on Saturday and took the kids out for ice cream on Sunday. It was a nice family day that we do not get to have that often.
I knew that next week was going to be a little bit crazy so I did a decent – okay a HUGE grocery shop this week while I had the time. JJ and I went to BJ’s, Publix, Target and Trader Joes this week. I really stocked up on things at BJ’s for quick meal type items, tons to BBQ and snacks. That bill alone was $101.00.
Target was not for food I needed to pick up a few gifts for some upcoming events. But I broke the first rule of shopping, eat before you go! I wound up with a few food items in my cart and I think JJ was hungry too since he hit the checkout snacks pretty bad. He did explain that he was getting extras for Bri and CJ so after cute gesture I let the snacks slide.
He does this trick at Trader Joes too! They all love those chocolate mints you find at the checkout registers. My weakness is their dark chocolate peanut butter cups! YUM!
So here it is my massive shopping totals for this week, next week should be much lower. I pretty much blew my $125 budget out of the water this week.
Here are my weekly shopping totals for this week:
Spent – $231.42
Saved – $91.31
