Last weekend we went to Legoland and had a great time away! Even though it was only a long weekend, it was a much needed break from routine. We celebrated Bri’s birthday at the Rainforest Cafe on Friday night and we headed over to Legoland on Saturday. Besides it being hot and hitting ALOT of traffic going up everything went as planned, that is until we left Sunday afternoon for our 3 hour drive home.
I arranged with the hotel for an Edible Arrangement fruit basket and balloons to be placed in our room when we arrived. I forgot to take a picture she was so excited! We always stay at the Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista, so if you are ever in the Orlando area I HIGHLY recommend staying there. They are just awesome and helped me get everything in the room for us so Bri could be surprised.
As we were trying to pack up on Sunday morning we decided to eat the last bit of fruit left in the basket with our breakfast. Well a mix of Bri’s very sensitive stomach and eating too much pineapple as soon as we started to get on the highway I hear from the very back of the van — “Mooommm I don’t feel well!!! I need a bag!!!”. You get where I am going here, right? The majority of the 3 hour drive was a few side of the road stops for her. I felt so bad, the last thing you want when you are that sick is to be in a moving car for that long.
Luckily when we got home she seemed to feel a little better and we had Monday to rest before they went back to school Tuesday. And as much as I loved spending an enjoyable week long spring vacation with them, it was time they went back to school tee-hee.
Since this week was sort of wonky, I had my husband run to Publix when we got home on Sunday night to pick up a few essentials to get me through the week. We were down to nothing when we got back so as long as he picked up produce and some dinners to last me until Thursday night I was okay. I wasn’t sure how she was going to feel the rest of the week so I made him a quick list and still managed to come in under budget.
Here are my under budget shopping totals:
Spent – $71.21
