OurPact App Mobile Protection For Kids

Disclosure: I was provided the mentioned products to facilitate my review. All opinions expressed are 100% mine.

As my kids gets older technology always becomes a constant worry and battle with my kids. Let’s face it technology has taken over our kids generation and although it’s a great learning tool with the internet it could easily become a scary place full of unknowns.

OurPact App Mobile Protection For Kids

That’s why when I had the opportunity to test out the new app called OurPact from ParentsWare I jumped at the chance to give it a try.

The OurPact App is a free app that allows you to keep limits on all your kids mobile devices including iPhones, iPod Touch and iPads all in one place.

I was able to go in and pick the times and/or days I allowed Bri to be on her iPad. My boys share it and even at 4 years old JJ is very comfortable navigating my iPhone or the iPad. Whole different generation huh? The ease of the set up was much easier than I expected. It took me about 15 minutes to complete the entire set up and Bri’s iPad was ready to go.

By limiting the hours there is no worry of older kids texting while in school when they are not supposed to. Or just limit the amount of hours spent on the device. It is said that children spend as much as 50 hours on their mobile devices, that’s crazy right? With the OurPact app this can limit to how many hours a day they can spend on their phones or tablets.

The entire app can be 100% customized to your child’s of the week and daily routine.

With the OurPact App you have the power to:

  • Block children’s Internet across all synced Apple devices
  • Block children’s Apps across all synced Apple Devices
  • Schedule Internet and App use according to your child’s daily routine
  • Set a limit to the number of hours your children spend on the Internet and within Apps
  • Block Internet and Apps at-a-touch
  • Allow Website and App access, whenever you feel your child “needs more time”
  • Block All Apps: Block Facebook, Block SnapChat, Block Instagram, Block Twitter, etc.

I think the most important feature for me or any other parent is it allows you to see at all times if your child’s device is unmanaged and working properly. You will immediately get a warning in the app to reconnect your child devices.

As you can see from the list of features the OurPact App has the ability to turn off certain apps too. AWESOME!

What does a 4, 5 and 7 year old need to go into Facebook or Instagram for? My kids don’t. Or I can even block internet all together, especially important for the younger ones or when Bri is not using Google for school.

I can’t be everywhere so I feel so much safer knowing the OurPact app provides me with a little bit of safety for the kids.

The OurPact App requires iOS 7.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The app is optimized for iPhone 5. Download the free OurPact app and gain more control over your children’s devices within minutes.

They are working on an Android version and it should be live the beginning of April 2016!

  1. I like that you can keep track of multiple devices in one place. When you have to go device to device to device it gets tedious.

    • Yes, if they disconnected it you will know from your device giving you an alert. Perfect for the older kids that know where to go to disconnect it.

  2. This sounds really good for my son. We are trying to minimize and limit our son’s time on electronics.

    • At the moment they only have it for Apple, I will check into see if they will be offering it on Android and let you know 🙂

UPDATE! They are working on it and should be available at the beginning of April!

      • Are you able to find out if this will become available for Android any time soon? It seems amazing, but my daughter has the iPhone, I have an android…thanks!

  3. Be WARE! This app has taken over my daughter’s iPad. The app is no longer in the app store and I can’t get any help. Please discontinue use of this app.

  4. What about text messages? I thought I read that the original apps that came with a phone are not disabled during a blocked period. I want my child to be able to make calls, but not send texts. Any idea if this is possible?

  5. Yeah, parents want to be sure that their kids are safe and protected. I installed Kidslox (www.kidslox.com) on my son’s phones. It is a great app. I set limits for every day on the usage of his mobiles and also I know that content blocking is on and my child is safe. Also, it is very convenient that his phones can be blocked at night, so he will not try to trick me and play at night.
