It has been a very uneventful week here at our house, just the way I like it.
I did a pretty big grocery shopping this week. After I spent a few hours reorganizing our pantry (post to come), I tossed a bunch of items that were expired I had room to fill. I need to learn that my kids go through stages, what might be their favorite snack one month will probably not be the next month. Lesson learned don’t buy more than a few snacks at BJ’s.
I pretty much blew through my budget this week and really took most of last weeks budget too since I stocked up on a few sale items at BJ’s. I knew it was going to be a big haul so I enlisted the whole family. Yup, won’t do that again either. Everyone’s hands pulled in something into the cart, I don’t really care as long as they eat what their choices were. I did have to make a one snack per person rule or else I could have walked out of there owning half the store.
My Pulix trip seemed to be higher this week too. I freak out when those weeks collide. My weekly shopping totals are so high when you add everything up. Luckily I think we are good for big items for at least a month or six weeks, well I hope so anyway. Once I factored in my savings from last week since I didnt shop much it all evened out with a few cents to spare.
Here are my weekly shopping totals for this week:
Spent – $221.43
Saved – $101.23
