It’s back to routines for us this week. Early mornings, school, homework you know the drill. I’m sort of happy to be back honestly. I loved every second of having the kids home but it was time to get some order to our days again.
We were able to have one last family fun weekend before everyone headed back to school this week. We took the kids to Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee FL. We live very close and it was one of those tourist spots we have not visited yet. We had a great day driving through the safari, feeding giraffes and riding rides.
Truly an amazing experience, I highly recommend it if you are in the area! I am thinking about getting passes for the year, there was so much to see and my kids were amazed by all of the hands on attractions.
Once Tuesday hit everyone was ready to get back into the normal swing of things. I was able to get my house cleaned up from the holidays and do a little food shopping. My 4 year old was happy to have his mom back to himself that he happily helped with everything we had to get done.
We received a few gift cards for Christmas so this trip was completely free and some left over. I still saved about 50% which I am always happy with. I really just needed to get a few things from Publix to get us through since I stocked up a ton last week.
I plan on heading to Trader Joes this afternoon for a few special snacks for the kids and that completes my week.
Here are my shopping totals for this week:
Spent – $84.15 (free after gift card)
Saved – $82.93
