Weekly Shopping Totals Bust

shopping totals bust

Happy Friday guys! Second week of school here and I am so excited to back on a normal routine. I’m going to be honest with you guys, my house was becoming a little to “lived in” looking over the summer. I needed that daily schedule able to focus on a little cleaning and laundry.

Is it me or does it seem to take 4 times as long to clean a bathroom with children constantly needing something?

My kids are getting used to the early mornings and love their days at school. As strange as it sounds I feel like a better mom, feeling accomplished when they come home that I have the whole afternoon and evening to devote to them. My littlest that is home for his last year πŸ™ is enjoying every bit of alone time with me. I love the three year old age for kids, they still think helping is fun and he understands the quicker I get done the faster we can play together without his brother and sister fighting for the attention.

I was able to do a ton of shopping with him this week. I did a few CVS deals, Publix deals and a trip to the mall. I have to remember to stick with my list but with all the free time to walk the aisles and stores with just one child was pure heaven. I had to run to the mall to return something and found myself doing a little shopping at JCP, Gymboree and Bath & Body Works. Even after using rewards and coupons I did not intend to spend as much as I did but it was a nice treat.

Even though the mall deals are not included in my totals I still went over budget just a little. Next week should be a much lower week for me so it will even out.

Here are my weekly shopping totals bust totals:

Spent – $123.33

Saved – $36.87

    • Right? You don’t realize until you have your whole to-do list checked off before they get home. Feels great!

  1. I could not help but laugh, when I read your post. It all rings so true…. I spent way too much this week, and I also got stuck in the mall, just because it was me and the little one without any of the big kids. As for the cleaning, I feel as if I have so many cleaning projects to do now that the big kids are out of the house.

  2. Little shopping treats are nice once in awhile I almost went to B&B Works this week, but skipped it because I always spend $ in there, and I don’t always need to. πŸ˜‰
