Happy Friday and first day of August!
We have 2 weeks left until school so I have been busy shopping for supplies this week. I am almost done with snacks and their lists from the teachers. Now I have to do the dreaded clothes shopping UGH. Now that my 2 school aged kiddos have an opinion on what to wear these trips are not always the most fun, for anyone! That is what I will be working on next week. I decided to skip the tax free weekend, I know I am all about saving a buck but honestly it is just so crowded and with the kiddos in tow it could be a disaster. Ill save my couple of bucks elsewhere.
This week grocery shopping my totals were a bit higher than normal. I had a pretty big BJ’s trip (all back to school snack type things). I had to only run in for Jelly and waffles and I figured while I’m there I might as well pick up some snacks while the kids were with me. Picking up a few shampoos at CVS this week too so this week was a big budget buster for me. At least at Publix I was able to take advantage of their gas card promo saving me some extra money. Hopefully, I am ready for school though and hopefully stocked for at least the first month.
Here are my budget buster shopping totals for the week:
Spent – $158.45
Saved – $98.63
