Happy Friday! Unlike most of the country I think, my kids did not have their spring break this week. They only have off today so we are enjoying it. We will be dying our Easter eggs, making some Easter cupcakes and watching Frozen for the thousandth time :).
We will have a quiet Easter this year, just us. I love watching the kids hunt for eggs and then we normally have a big family breakfast. My kids are strange they will only eat Ham on special holidays so we do a holiday breakfast instead. I love that I do not have to spend all day in the kitchen this year and am looking forward to just hanging out with my husband and the kids.
Since I did not have a huge feast planned and no guests coming my shopping should have been on the lighter side. Well, since the ad ran for over a week I decided to do a few stock up’s this cycle. Over my budget again but my baking section is fully stocked with goodies.
Here are my totals this Easter week:
Spent – $121.86
Saved – $144.97 or 54%

We are not really doing anything special for Easter this year either, and we went to our annual egg hunt last weekend, so there was not much extra shopping. We will hopefully have a beach egg hunt just for our own four kids on Sunday, but that depends on the weather.
As for shopping, I completely messed up on my Publix trips. The first time I was in a rush, and I did not make it up to the $50 threshold so that I could use the $10 Target coupon…gave it away to the guy in front of me instead. The second time I did not realize that the new ad had not started yet, so I had to improvise….well I guess it just shows how poorly prepared I’d been lately.

A beach egg hunt? That’s awesome! I have to try that with our kiddos, maybe next year. The ad always messes me up when it gets moved die to a holiday, you still did very well!
