The weekend is approaching, and there are so many things around the house you need to get done. There is not a lot of time during the week after you get home from work, so why not tackle all of those home improvements on the weekend when more people in the house are home? You can divide work based on what needs to get done first, or the improvements that are most important.
This is the perfect opportunity to get done some of the painting that you have been neglecting. Brighten up a room with a new color, or go along the baseboards with a brush to make them look like new. Get everyone involved in picking out the colors so that it is a family chore. You can even do this job a few weekends in a row to make sure you get it done.
As long as it is not raining, tackle those windows that have fingerprints on them, or that have mildew built up from being in the outdoor elements. Assign portions of the home to everyone so the job gets done faster. Get all of the equipment needed such as window cleaner, and cloths to make the work easy.
Those flowers in the yard are not going to uproot themselves if they are dead. Take the weekend to clear out a garden area, or to plant new flowers for a different season. You can also clear the yard of limbs, and other items that might be cluttering the area.
If you are like most families, then there might not be a lot of organization in the home, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Get some plastic containers or baskets and divide everything by how it is used. Keep the utensils together, paper clips, and other miscellaneous items in one box and the rest of the items in the rooms in a way that will look best in your home.
Whether you deal with ladybugs in the fall, or flies in the summer, there are sure to be pests in or near the home. Get rid of items outside that might store water, and will attract these pests. You can also call a Rove Pest Control company to come to the home to spray in order to get rid of smaller insects like ants. Look online for Rove Pest Control reviews so that you know about the quality of work the company provides.
Weekends are a time to spend with your family. It is also a time when the family can get together and make the home look more like a home. Throw away things that are no longer used, or bag items that can be donated. Use the time to clean rooms to make them look more organized or presentable for guests. Create a list of things to do so that you are not overwhelmed before doing those weekend home improvements.
