A few weeks ago I hosted a Mega Blocks Party sponsored by MommyParties. My kids had a blast! If you are not familiar with Mega Blocks they are over-sized blocks that are great for little hands. My kids range from 1 to 5 but we had some older kids at the party (oldest 7) and they all loved building different things with the Mega Blocks. My daughter and my neighbors son built “bridges” with them while my the other kids used the Mega Bloks® First Builders Tiny ‘n Tuff Race ‘n Chase Rig to “vroom” through. The big rig came with 2 smaller cars as well. You could mix and match those car pieces. They all played so nicely.
The Mega Blocks we received were First Builders ABC Spell! and 1-2-3 Count! sets. All kids were on board with this. They took their stickers out and placed them on the blocks. When most of the stickers were placed the older kids spelled words and did math problems while the younger kids were recognizing the letters and numbers. I LOVED this idea. Any toy where my kids can learn while not getting distracted is a toy I want in my home.
We also had a Mega Bloks® Play ‘n Go Wagon at the party. Really only my son who is 1 played with this. The older kids were more interested in building and crashing cars. He took all the blocks in and out and out and in. He was able to build a few on top. My favorite part of this was the product was storage. Once you are done playing they all fit into this and can be stored nicely under his crib.
All of the kids were happy to learn they got to take a bag of blocks home!
Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free to host this party. I was not compensated in any other way. All opinions are my own.
