This year I am determined to lose those last pesky pounds that have been hanging over me since my last child was born, gulp three years ago.
Since I cook my family a homemade meal every night I figured I would try different healthier recipes. My family LOVES shrimp, even my picky eater can eat it like no one’s business. Shrimp has amazing source of health benefits! It contains high-quality protein that is naturally low in fat, carbohydrates, and calories. Plus containing omega-3 fatty acids, it may help reduce the risk of heart disease.
I think shrimp is a favorite for many since it is so versatile. There is just so many different ways to cook it baking, boiling, frying, grilling, and steaming, you will never get bored with it.
While planning my menu this week I did a little looking around my favorite site Fresh From Florida. They have wonderful mouth watering recipes, especially our famous Florida fish. Its a great perk for living here. We have fresh Florida fish pretty much all year round. I only live a few minutes from a farmers market that sell it fresh every day.
I stumbled upon this Florida Gulf Shrimp and Sweet Pepper Stir Fry with Honey-Citrus Glaze. It has everything my family loves and best of all it looks simple to make on a school night.
